23 October 2015 – Dog World

Excitement levels couldn’t have reached a higher peak this week, what an unbelievable journey this year has been. The news broke that at the three-quarter way leader mark for the DOG WORLD / Arden Grange Top Dog Competition that our breed the Papillon was Top Dog All Breeds, yes you heard right, All Breeds, pinch yourself, it really is true. Travis (Ch Gleniren Shootin Starmaker Sunshoo) has been bestowed this amazing accolade at just two years of age. We are so proud of this little boy who has continually shown his socks off throughout every scenario possible this year, he has always come out smiling and managing to excel and give that little bit of extra magic when we asked it from him.

Glenn, Carolyn and I would like to extend a huge thank you to all the judges that have thought so highly of Travis, not only for 2015 / 2014 but from the very beginning of his show career in 2013 at the age of six months and a day, when he took BPIS at the Butterfly Dog Club of Scotland under Mrs Pat Munn. Also of course deep gratitude to all our close compatriots, the Papillon exhibitors, each and every one of you have shown him so much loving support along the way, which says so much for our breed. Outside the Papillon, all breeds and groups have shown us so much encouragement, your lovely comments and magnetic enthusiasm has been amazing, we are very humbled and fortunate to have experienced this within the dog world. Travis has brought us so many true friends, that at the beginning of the year we did not know, this we are so grateful for, it has given us a whole new dimension.

Thank you so much during the year for your either your good luck or congratulation cards, flowers and gifts, these have meant the world to us and will be stored in Travis’s file as pride felt mementoes of an amazing year.

Next week I will be reporting on SWKA and the South Wales Papillon Club. There is so much to talk about with these two shows. Meet up with you next week with coffee in hand, until then take care on the roads and please send me in the news of your successes at the shows, we all want to hear about them.
